'62 Strat
Our '62 Strat pickups are hand wound with 42 AWG Heavy Formvar wire in a deliberate pattern that allows for more mids than our '69 Strat pickups.
The Alnico 5 magnets are slightly degaussed so they'll give the tonal characteristics of a naturally aged magnet, giving a subtle, but noticeable, sweetness with a smooth attack to notes.
The '62 Strat pickups utilize our custom magnet stagger, featuring a mild radius that works well with modern string gages. Unlike many Strat magnet staggers (that use shorter magnets for the outer strings), Silver Hand's design uses the same length pole piece magnets for each string, allowing for a more consistent string-to-string balance. Balanced Performance
The '62 Strat pickups also come calibrated for a slight and progressively hotter middle and bridge pickup, allowing for a balanced tone and output when switching pickups.
The middle pickup is RWRP for hum canceling operation in the 2nd and 4th positions.
